Cetàcea
Association Cetacea was founded in August 2012, with the aim of protecting, conserving and researching marine life and habitats along the Catalan coast. Through our activities we hope to add our grain of sand to the thousands that have already been contributed by other organizations and people, in the preservation of the marine environment and the species that inhabit it.

08/01/2020 – Cetàcea at the Mare Nostrum Festival
Associació Cetàcea is pleased to announce that we have received a 1,000 € donation from the charity festival Mare Nostrum. This festival is a charity created as research project by several student sof the Escola Pia Nostra Senyora, located in carrer Diputació in Barcelona. Continue reading.
05/03/2019 – TECHNICAL REPORT ON THE PHOTO-ID PROJECT 2018
Associació Cetàcea is pleased to present the technical report in which we analyse the results of the Project Photo-Identification: Whales and dolphins along the Catalan coast. The project, which began in 2014, aims to deepen the knowledge of the cetacean communities that frequent the central Catalan coast, either temporarily or seasonally, as more or less permanently.

In Associació Cetàcea we are pleased to present the project Friends of the Sea. This is a pioneering citizen science project in Catalunya, which aims to gather information related to opportunistic sightings of cetaceans recorded from professional or leisure vessels along the Catalan coast.
